Plan of Study/Curriculum Overview

                    Students will need:
                    Pens and pencils everyday in class.
                    A Spanish folder and book cover.
                    Their tablets.
                    (Dictionaries are available in the classroom and online for students to use.)

                    Movies: (We might watch in the course of the year.)

                    Patch Adams en espanol
                    Twister en espanol
                    500 Nations/Mexico: The Rise and Fall of the Aztecs
                    Come Dance with Me en espanol
                    Central America: Costa Rica and Nicaragua
                    Bolivia
                    Panama
                    Ecuador and the Gualapagos Islands Experience
                    Nouns:  transportation, professions, & letretros
                    La Bella y la Bestia
                    1492 - Conquest of Paradise/Christopher Columbus
                             

                                The students’ grades will be determined by the following:
                                 1.       Quizzes
                    2.       Tests
                    3.       Daily Work and Projects
                    4.       Class Participation
                    5.       Oral Work

                        Here is a list of some of the projects that we will be doing throughout the school year:

                    Classroom Expectations:
                    1.  Be seated in your desk and ready to go when the bell rings.
                    2.  Always be prepared by having the necessary items with you for class:  notebook,
                    journal, textbooks, pens, pencils, etc....
                    3.  Always respect each other's views and opinions.
                    4.  Be courteous in waiting your turn.
                    5.  Please always raise your hand.
                    6.  No gum or candy in class, except when allowed.
                    7.  No pop in class, except on Fridays when all assignments have been turned in completed
                    and on time.
                    8.  One student at a time can leave the classroom with the hall pass.
                    9.  No cell phones in my classroom!
                   10. No playing games on tablets!
                   11. No i-pods in my classroom!
